The Government has extended the lockdown date till 17th May 2020. Extending the lockdown will prevent the spread of the global pandemic. The center is also taking preventive measures to neutralize the threat of COVID-19. Airtel Jio Vodafone Idea Helping Govt COVID-19 Contact Tracing.

Airtel Jio Vodafone Idea Helping Govt COVID-19 Contact Tracing:

As reported by ET telecom, the centre might call 900 million people to check on them and ask them whether they have virus symptoms. To ensure large scale contact tracing, through Arogya Setu, the Government will now team up with the major telecoms like Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone.

Government Will Roll Out IVRS:

The Government will soon roll out Interactive Voice Response System too. The center will expand the Aarogya Setu App in nearly 550 million feature phone users. The Interactive Voice Response System will be fluent in all Indian languages.

The IVRS will interact with users, and check all the symptoms of Covid-19, and it will automatically alert the local health authorities for quick action.

75000 Calls Have Been Made:

Arogya Setu app is helping the Government to fight with the deadly coronavirus. With the feedback from the App, the health officials from Ayushman Bharat is reaching out to people who have shared their health conditions. Till now 75000 calls have been made so far. Arogya Setu app is also being test on Jio Phones. This will help help the government in reaching 150 million subscribers in India.

Arogya Setu App Is Mandatory For Government Employees:

The government has already made the Arogya Setu app mandatory for Government employees. The officials are suggested that if the status shows low risk or no risk then only, they should step out of their houses and go to work. However, if the status shows moderate risk or high risk, they should stay back at home.

The Government is advising laborers who have shifted to their own states, should download the Arogya Setu app.
