Google is rolling out the feature via Play Store and has reflected the changes in Google Play Services and Android Studio. This will let certain users authorize certain apps to use the API to notify them if it detects an exposure.
As this is an early release, this feature is highly intend for developers. This feature is currently in use for developers and not for general use. Later on, in the public release, Apple and Google will make the onboarding process seamless.
What Google Had To Say:
Google said they will expect more beta versions and that will add more functionalities and functional enhancements. The public release will take place on 1st May.
As reported to TechCrunch, Google, and Apple will release sample code to help developers gain a better understanding regarding the functionality of the API. They can integrate the feature into an existing app too.
How Does This Technology Works:
The technology uses randomized tokens. Bluetooth makes these tokens. The tokens are transmitted via Bluetooth and checks whether a person has come across an affected person. Also checks whether the person is expose to any COVID-19. Also alerts if it finds a potential.
