Flipkart has started selling mobile phones in India. The E-Commerce giant started delivering essential goods after PM Narendra Modi’s announcement of lockdown. Flipkart Opens Mobile Category Order, Delivery post 20th April.
After PM Narendra Modi announced a 21-days lockdown on March 25, Flipkart started selling essential products only. Recently, the Government has approved the selling of smartphones in India. Flipkart has opened its mobile category for orders.
The company says that the mobile category is open across India, except for West Bengal and Karnataka.

Flipkart has a vast category of smartphones. Flipkart’s mobile category lists phones like Realme 6, Realme 6 Pro, Motorola Razr, Poco X2, iQoo 3, and many more.
Flipkart Opens Mobile Category Order, Delivery post 20th April:
The e-commerce giant has a new banner on their app that says the company is accepting smartphone orders.
Users can order a smartphone now, but the delivery will start from 20th April.
Flipkart Offers On Mobile Phones:
Flipkart is offering complete mobile protection, no-cost EMI, and buyback guarantee to buyers on its platform. Phones from Oppo, Vivo, Samsung, Apple, and Xiaomi are listed online. Both the Flipkart app and the website now have the mobile category open for purchase.
The company is not accepting orders of smartphones in states like West Bengal and Karnataka.
What Does The Union Home Secretory Says:
Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla recently issued guidelines for the extended lockdown period till May 3. These guidelines suggest that mobile phones, televisions, refrigerators, laptops, and, stationery items will be allowed to be sold through e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal from April 20. The delivery vans of e-commerce companies will need permission from authorities for plying on the roads beforehand.
