Coming to the gaming performance, the Asus FX505DY is powered by an Radeon RX 560X 4GB Graphics card..This enables you to play most of the modern games at medium graphics selection with around 45+FPS.

It also has Hypercool Technology which incorporates dual fan design to ward off extra heat generation during gaming. The technology also prevents dust accumulation in the fans and keeps your laptop in pristine condition for a long time.

While running games, the Asus FX505DT provided a seamless experience with no lag spikes or stuttering. In CS GO, the laptop generated between 140 – 150 fps at ultra settings, and in PUB-G, the laptop generated 70 fps at high settings. For both NFS Rivals and GTA V, the FX505DT generated 50-70 fps at high/ultra settings, which is remarkable given that both these games have a high resource consumption.

Although, we noticed some heating only after 2 hours of gaming and checked the CPU temperature which had crossed the 90°C mark. To resolve this heating issue, it is advisable to manually limit the CPU to 99%. It will cause a negligible difference in frame-rates while maintaining the temperature below the 75° mark.

2. Gaming Laptops Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54

The Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54 is powered by an Intel Core i5-9300H processor, which has a turbo speed of 4.1 GHz and 6 MB cache. It also has 8 GB DDR4 RAM and 1 TB HDD. It has slot for SDD too. The RAM can be upgraded to up to 32 GB. The dual-storage feature serves as the right combination of speed for quick booting and high storage capacity to install large-sized applications.

Display-wise, the laptop has a 15.6-inch IPS panel with a Full HD resolution. The display has an Acer ComfyView LED-backlit TFT LCD with a refresh rate of 60 Hz, providing excellent viewing angles and natural color reproduction. Like other laptops in this category, it also comes pre-installed with Windows 10 Home Edition.

For gaming, the laptop is equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card.  It is faster than the previous generation GTX 1050 Ti.

In our gaming tests, the laptop generated 100 – 125 fps in CS GO and 65-75 fps in PUB-G at high settings. For NFS Rivals and GTA V, the frame-rate was between 50 – 55 fps at high settings.

As compared to laptops with Ryzen 5 CPU, the Intel Core i5 has an advantage in terms of single-core performance. However, Ryzen 5 performs better in graphics performance, which can be instrumental in many games.

The most promising feature of the laptop is the Acer CoolBoost technology which lets you control the cooling process, resulting in an almost 11% decrease in CPU/GPU temperatures. Even after 4 – 5 hours of extensive gaming, the CPU temperature didn’t cross the 70°C mark.

3. Gaming Laptops HP Pavilion Gaming 15-bc513TX

The HP Pavilion Gaming 15 laptop is powered by a ninth-generation Intel Core i5 processor with a turbo speed of 4.10 GHz and an 8 MB cache. The laptop has 8 GB DDR4 RAM (expandable up to 32 GB) with a 512 GB SSD for storage.

Coming to the gaming performance, the laptop is equipped with an Nvidia GTX 1650 4 GB Graphics. Coupled with a 9th generation Core i5, the laptop has great on-paper specs. We tested its real-time performance by running some games and it surely packs a punch.

CS GO ran at 130+ fps without any lag or stuttering on ultra settings. Similarly, the laptop generated 70-90 fps in PUB-G at high settings. The laptop performed equally well with GTA V and NFS Rivals, generative over 55 fps in both the games at high settings. The keyboard has a bright green illumination as well, to help you play in the dark.

However, only after an hour of gaming, you will feel the keyboard area getting heated up. We checked the CPU temperature, and it was already over 90°C. The primary reason for the overheating issue is the single fan cooling system and poor air ventilation in this laptop. The Dell-G3 incorporates a blue backlit keyboard with highlighted WASD keys. However, the keys have a low-key travel which offers an unsatisfying typing experience. It also features Waves MaxxAudio Pro sound which is quite loud but lacks any bass. For an enthralling gaming experience, we advise a gaming headset or external speakers.

In CS GO, the laptop managed 110-130 fps at ultra settings. In PUB-G, the frame-rate was 55 – 70, but it dropped suddenly during a fight. To enhance your gaming experience, Lenovo Legion Y7000 uses the Dolby Atmos technology to provide precise surround sound. With the new Sound Radar overlay, you are able to identify the location of different sounds easily while gaming.

The laptop also uses the Lenovo Coldfront technology to regulate CPU/GPU temperatures during gaming. It incorporates a dual-channel thermal system, which ensures individual CPU and GPU cooling.
