Avatarify Tool can help you become Einstein, Mona Lisa or anyone
It was firstly spotted around on Twitter, the Avatarify is an AI tool which can super-impose or take up a user’s face onto a picture to create a movable avatar of the user during video calls. This avatar app can then be used in some of the popular video conferencing apps like Skype, Zoom, and Teams. The new tool was launched on April 12, which is not much long ago. So, it wasn’t much popular until one of its developers recently, Ali Aliev released a video (below) on how to install the tool on a Windows PC to start using it.
Now, in this 13-minute how-to video, Aliev has explained every aspect of the installation process. but, if you want to check out the tool in action, you can directly skip up to the 9:45 mark of the video.
Proper GPU Programme is needed in the PC
According to the reports from dev, you need required specs on your PC, which is a GPU for the program for its smooth functioning. As explained by Aliev, the program can run at 15FPS with an NVIDIA GTX 1070 and at 33FPS with an NVIDIA GTX 1080Ti. nevertheless, if you have a MacBook Pro without a GPU, the program will run at about 1FPS. So, the program actually needs a CUDA-enabled video card. Without that, the program will use the processing power of the PC and which would not give satisfactory results.
In the video, by Aliev he has installed the program on a Windows PC using the resources from its Github page and the command prompt. Then after that, he installed the Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) and used its camera to create his own avatar. At the end of the video, he also gave some useful tips to make your video calls much more interesting and unique.
With the new Avatarify app, you can become anyone if you like in your next video call. So, go for it and surprise your friends or colleagues by showing them that you’ve always been Batman!
