Notion, the Notes and Documents Platform, is Now Entirely Free for Personal Use


INTRO: Notion is a powerful note-taking and to-dos creation platform for the workplace, which is quite similar to Microsoft OneNote and G Suite. It also comes with an array of nifty features and tools integrated into it. The startup that is behind the platform, has recently made the platform entirely free for all personal users.

In previous times, a user who was with a free Notion account could use the tools and features. The application provides to write and organize documents and stuff. but, there was a limit in creating some additional pages or, what the company likes to call, it “Blocks” on it and the app. The company also had storage limitations with the free personal plan earlier and the user could unlock these features with a payment of $5 a month.

But now, the developers have made the platform completely free to use for personal users, which means that canceling the $5/month plan for the users. The announcement came via a tweet in which the company stated that “everyone should have access to our tools to create what they need in these times”.

Previous Users OF Personal Plan Will be Upgraded

The users who were already the members of the previous “Personal Plan” have been upgraded to a new “Personal Pro Plan”, as stated according to their FAQ page. This new plan requires to pay the same $5 a month fee. Now, the additional features for the users who get with this plan are to add unlimited collaborators or partnerships and also offers unlimited individual uploads on its platform.

As we know for now, this offer is not at all temporary, as Notion has confirmed that it is not. When one of the user with the same question replied to the above tweet, the Notion company replied, “Not temporary! This is for always.”.
