Yesterday, Samsung has launched its most awaited flagship device named Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. We already posted about the Samsung Galaxy S8 and now we are with all the details of S8+. The Samsung Galaxy S8+ is basically as higher version of S8 which has almost similar features to S8 but yet little bit interesting than that.

The Samsung Galaxy S8+ has Bixby Virtual Assistant in it which is a in-house built assistant going to offer huge competition to popular assistants such as Apple Siri, Google Assistant, Microsoft Cortona and even Amazon Alexa. It also sports iris recognition like in S8, which basically does biometric recognition scans iris to unlock the phone, verify Samsung account, and a lot more interesting tasks. It also flaunts a fingerprint scanner on the back beside the camera.

Samsung has pre-installed an application on both the newly launched phones called Samsung Dex which allows users to convert smartphone into a computer when you dock it into monitor, keyboard and mouse. The phone is running on Android Nougat which is basically customised by Samsung.

The company has not mentioned the price at the launch event but The Verge has mentioned the price of S8+ for US. Talking about the price of it in US, it is in between $840. In countries such as India, it may vary and goes in between $840 or $850 which is roughly Rs 54000 to Rs 56000 approx in Indian Currency.

The phone goes live on sale on 21st April 2017.

》The brand new Samsung Galaxy S8+ has a bigger display in comparison with S8. It sports 6.2-inch Quad HD+ (2960 × 1440 pixels) Super AMOLED Infinity display with pixel density of 529ppi. On the top, it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

》Now, let’s talk about the chipset of the new Galaxy S8+. It houses Qualcomm’s latest chipset Snapdragon 835 SoC which is an octa-core processor with 4 cores clocked at 2.3GHz and 4 cores at 1.7GHz coupled with Adreno 540 GPU and this is for US variant. While in other markets (including India), it is sporting Samsung Exynos 9 Series Exynos 8895 SoC which is almost similar to Snapdragon chipset and that’s too an octa-core processor with 4 cores clocked at 2.35GHz and 4 cores at 1.9GHz coupled with Mali-G71 MP20 GPU.

》Galaxy S8+ sports 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM with 64GB (UFS 2.1) of inbuilt storage which is further expandable upto 128GB using microSD card. There’s also a variant available with 6GB of RAM but that’s not for markets such as India.

》Talking about the software, it has latest Android Nougat on it which is basically customised by Samsung like in other devices.

》Now, let’s talk about the Optics on this phone. The S8+ features a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel rear camera with LED Flash. Also, it has f/1.7 aperture which will help users to get shallow depth of feel or you can say background blur effect. Sensor size is if 1/2.55″. Also it has, OIS, 1.4µm pixel size. Apart from that, if we look up at the front cameras, that’s too amazing. It has a 8-megapixel auto focus front-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture, 1/3.6″ sensor size, 1.22µm pixel size and 80-degree wide-angle lens helps you cover more areas in the picture. So, if you’re thinking only 12-megapixel you have to learn more about how cameras work. That’s not the megapixel which makes it great.
