INTRO: The Chinese smartphone company Vivo’s long-rumored smartwatch called– Vivo Watch has now passed through the 3C certification. The existence of the product was first tipped this April, which was followed by alleged patent images.
Vivo Watch Passed the 3C Certification
According to the 3C certification listing, the smartwatch has the model number WA2056 with it. It will be apparently supporting the audio playback feature. By Judging the patent image, the Vivo Watch may also sport a regular round design, unlike the Apple Watch-like design seen on Oppo Watch square-like shape.
The further rumors in the air say that Vivo could reveal the Vivo Watch sometime around next month. The new timeline could turn out to be true considering this 3C certification. Now we will have to wait to see what further things or new information Vivo has to offer with its launch of the first smartwatch. It is highly likely that the company might have a custom skin also instead of Wear OS if we talk in terms of software.
Expected To Be Launched Next Month
The company also has plans to launch Vivo Watch next month, we could expect the official teasers in the coming weeks. Also, it currently remains unclear if Vivo would immediately bring Vivo Watch outside China market or not.
This, it will be interesting to see how the company unfolds its positions itself in the wearables segment. The company will either launch the Vivo Watch as a budget that will be offering a range to compete against Mi Watch and other similarly priced smartwatches or would aim to be on par like with the Oppo Watch and premium smartwatch offerings of established players like Apple and Samsung.
Taking the increased demand in mind for the wearables into consideration, it doesn’t really come as a surprise that more companies are involving them in working on their own iterations of smartwatches to enter the wearable ecosystem.
