WanaKiwi: Recover Encrypted File or Overcome With WannaCry Ransomware Infection
French researchers has introduced a fixed that will help you to get rid out of this problem. It will remove the Ransomware and put your files back to your computer. This tool works only with computers having Windows XP, Windows 7 & 2003 and the PCs which are not rebooted since the infection.
However, the tool is perfect for all people as Windows 10 is not affected by the WannaCry Ransomware. Only the PCs running Windows 7 and XP are mostly infected.
The tool WanaKiwi is developed by security researcher Benjamin Delpy and it is based on an older fix called “WannaKey” created by Adrien Guinet.
What it exactly does is, it search for the prime numbers stored in your PC which are the basis of encryption. If you have possibly rebooted your PC after the infection then chances are that those prime numbers has been lost and you won’t get out of this problem.
If you haven’t tweaked anything then, WanaKiwi will retrieve those needed keys and try to decrypt your PC and recover all your files. Also, it will prevent your PC from such further attacks.
