Finally, WhatsApp Status Feature started rolling out for Android & IOS users from today. This feature is pretty similar to some of those SnapChat & Instagram, which makes WhatsApp more stunning.
WhatsApp had been testing this feature from November 2016. Also, we get to see this feature working on beta version from last week.

WhatsApp Status Feature: How to Activate?
Well, with the help of WhatsApp Status Feature you could add photos, videos and emojis to status messages. This feature works similar to that Instagram Stories and SnapChat.
Launching this feature, WhatsApp said in their blog post that,”
We are excited to announce that, coinciding with WhatsApp’s 8th birthday on February 24, we are reinventing the status feature. Starting today, we are rolling out an update to status, which allows you to share photos and videos with your friends and contacts on WhatsApp in an easy and secure way. Yes, even your status updates are end-to-end encrypted.
This feature will start affecting from 24th February 2017 on WhatsApp’s 8th anniversary.
All the status which you post on your timeline will disappear after 24hours. automatically. You can tap to move to the next status, edit and post photos, videos and GIFs as your new status.
Don’t worry about the unnecessary things because users will have the full ability to protect their privacy by choosing who cam see their updates.
